I took my fifth grade class to a local chocolate factory. My chaperone kept saying he was in heaven, and I believe him what with all the smells and colors and textures. I felt like Charlie Bucket entering the Chocolate Room for the first time.  The awe and wonder of it all.  The free samples put us all over the edge.

golden leaves. they may be dead and fallen from their life source, but there is beauty in it.

grading papers tonight. not a complaint. i love teaching fifth grade and watching my students getting excited over a quirky character like willy wonka. their passion is contagious.

came home from school and the boy asks if we can make cookies. he was willing to help after all. perfect rainy day respite.

science class. oh, the wonder in a student’s eyes when i, the teacher, strikes a match in the classroom.

worthy is the lamb that was slain.  it is the third year i am a part of our city’s community choir that sings through handel’s messiah.  a truly moving experience to sing. glory to GOD is echoed through the pinnacles of the church.
